OUR FAMILY MANUFACTURE

Almost 40 years ago, Papa João and Rubens founded a small factory called Renova Sofa in the big city of São Paulo.

Their idea: to lovingly manufacture and restore high-quality products exclusively by hand. We are now continuing this idea outside of Brazil.

HOW IT ALL BEGAN - 1988

RENOVA SOFA began in 1988 , when founders Rubens Matias and João Raimundo Ferreira dos Santos opened a workshop in the basement of a residence on Rua Dominiquim, in the Vila das Mercês neighborhood of São Paulo. They had few tools, but plenty of craftsmanship, a passion for perfection, and an endless attention to detail. Everything was made by hand.

Today, the company is unrecognizable. It boasts modern production facilities, employs nine people, and modernizes and restores furniture and home accessories using unique fabrics and leather goods. Only the love of handcrafting remains.

AND HOW THE IDEA OF BRASILHEROE FINISHED

Our father, João, was already designing and manufacturing beanbags 40 years ago . He remained committed to the cause and gave us a model he made from leftover fabric five years ago. These unique models quickly found favor in many different settings: whether for relaxing, working from home, breastfeeding his son, or playing video games.

Our mother Maisa had been making bags from the factory's leftover materials for 25 years , and they were a huge hit with her family.

Thus, the second product was found. The idea of expanding the existing family business began to take shape.

As a family business, we stand for quality, loyalty, love, and passion. The entire family, including founders João and our godfather Rubens, including our mother Maisa, her daughter Nubia, and her son-in-law Ju, as well as us, Luana and Mathias, want to bring the Brazilian way of life from our small factory in Brazil to your home – with the products we lovingly produce and develop for you every day.

We are always happy to receive your feedback and are open to any comments and requests - because together with YOU we want to write another 30 years of company history.
